Members who wish to bring riding visitors must first obtain permission from a MFH, and then notify the Honorary Secretary prior to the day of the hunt. Non Hunt member capping is allowed three times per person per lifetime. Non Hunt member capping fees are $40 per ride. Non Hunt member/visitor capping is traditionally not allowed at formal Opening and Closing Hunts, Invitational Hunts, nor at Joint meets. Basic members have a limit of five cappings per season. Basic member capping fee is $40 and may be applicable to upgrade in membership status. Before the hounds move off, capping fees should be presented to the Honorary Secretary in a sealed envelope in which the correct amount is enclosed. The outside of the envelope should state name and date, and in the case of a visitor, also the name of their NHH sponsor.
